Jon has over 28 years of experience in commercial real estate development and related industries. He has a unique broad-based experience across the entire spectrum of the real estate development and acquisition processes. In various roles, Jon has been successful in managing turnkey developments from concept through asset management and divestiture for a multitude of asset types. His experience includes site selection, due diligence, underwriting, financial analysis, capitalization, acquisition, entitlement, leasing, vertical development, construction, asset management and divestiture of numerous real property types with a heavy focus on industrial properties nationwide, including the NAIOP Seattle Chapter Industrial Development of the Year in 2013.
Jon earned a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Emory University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Clemson University. Prior to joining Selwyn, Jon worked with SunCap Property Group in Charlotte. Over his career he has developed and acquired over 9.3 million square feet of product across the country at a cumulative valuation of over $1.7 billion. He has also worked in development with Lauth Property Group, in finance with Deloitte and Standard & Poor’s and he began his career in construction with Fluor Corporation. He sits on the board of the local Charlotte NAIOP chapter as well as the Mecklenburg County Building Development Commission.
